| About the North Bellport Athletic Association | |
| The North Bellport Athletic Association (NBAA) is a nonprofit organization that began in 1989 in conjunction with the Suffolk County Police Athletic League (PAL) as an outreach to the children and families of the Bellport, East Patchogue and surrounding communities. With a volunteer staff comprised of church members and community residents we have developed this sports program on a foundation based on sound moral principles. In order to be eligible to participate in the sports program, registrants must enroll in the Character Achievement Program. CAP focuses on improving self-esteem by building character qualities such as loyalty, determination, responsibility, truthfulness, etc. This is accomplished through class instructions, workshops and interaction with community members and programs. The organization is to establish within the community, the following activities, soccer, basketball, football, baseball/softball, volleyball, cheerleading for a boys and girls league or coed. Helping to turn the lives of many in the right direction. | |
